Smart pendulum:

Self-leveling mode: When the laser tool is switched to the unlocked position, the self-leveling mode is enabled. The laser beam will flash continuously to indicate a level of no more than ±4°.

Manual Mode: When the pendulum lock is in the locked position, manual mode locks the laser line for use at any angle. The laser beam will flash every 3-5 seconds to remind you that it is not yet automatically leveling.
